#Stele_of_Nachy
Stele of Nachy in front of Osiris and Anubis
The stele of Nachy was probably found in Deir el-Medineh.
It comes from the New Kingdom, 18th - 19th Dynasty (1550 - 1186 BC).
The upper register shows Nachy in a gesture of worship before the Gods Osiris and Anubis, in front of whom there is a table with offerings.
In the middle register on the left, Nachy and his wife Nefertari receive a libation offered by Amunuasu, a priest of courage and probably the son of Nefertari from a previous marriage. Further descendants follow in the lower register. The presentation of offerings on steles like this guarantees the constant care of the dead in the hereafter and keeps the memory of them alive.
